Which aircraft are appearing in 2026?
The confirmed flying programme combines modern aerobatics, historic aircraft and helicopter displays. The organisers currently list the following for both Saturday and Sunday:
- The Red Arrows
- Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota
- RAF Tutor
- Richard Goodwin Jet Pitts
- AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers
- The Starlings
- Strikemaster Display Team
- Gazelle Squadron
- Hawk T1
- P-51 Mustang
The RAF Typhoon is currently confirmed for Sunday 30 August, adding another major display for visitors attending on the second day. Further aircraft may be announced, so it is worth checking the official programme again nearer the weekend.

More than a flying display
There is plenty to explore between displays. Marine Drive will host the Armed Forces’ Military Village, where visitors can see equipment and speak to representatives from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. Aviation enthusiasts can also explore replica aircraft and flight simulators.
Families can expect children’s rides and traditional games, while stalls will sell food, artwork, aviation collectables and other items. Visitors may bring their own food, but barbecues, gas stoves and open fires are prohibited.
Tickets, trains and parking
Standard tickets are currently listed at £13 plus a booking fee, with children under 16 admitted free. Group tickets for ten or more are listed at £12 per person. Tickets can also be bought at the event box offices, but booking ahead avoids an extra job on the day.
Southport railway station is approximately a ten-minute walk from the event. Merseyrail is advertising a £2 adult return to Southport from any other station on its network on selected event dates, including the Air Show. Check the offer conditions before travelling.
If driving, use PR8 1RY initially but follow the event signs once you approach Southport because road closures will be operating. Parking is available around Marine Drive, Princes Park, the Esplanade and Victoria Park. Car parks open at 9am and the advertised charge is £10 per car, payable on the day.
Sunday availability at Lakeview and Avondale
